La Selva Beach sits on the Monterey Bay coastline in Santa Cruz County, and getting here is straightforward — most of our guests drive.
The closest major airport is San Jose International (SJC), about an hour away depending on traffic over Highway 17. San Francisco International (SFO) is roughly ninety minutes, and Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is the closest by distance at around forty minutes, though it has far fewer flight options.
By car from the Bay Area, the drive down Highway 1 along the coast is part of the trip rather than just a way to get here — plan extra time if you want to stop in Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz on the way down. From the South Bay, cutting over Highway 17 through the redwoods is faster if scenery isn’t the priority that day.
Once you arrive, parking is two driveway spaces plus limited street parking. Driveway spaces suit standard vehicles; RVs, trailers, and fifth wheelers aren’t permitted due to HOA rules, and we’d recommend no more than two cars on holiday weekends given street parking gets tight.
Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out before 11:00 AM, and we’ll send exact directions and a door code ahead of your stay — no scavenger hunt for keys required.
